Foreign Minister presents condolences over Egyptian Public Prosecutor‘s death

Manama, July 1 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, expressed the sincere condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to the Egyptian Government and people, over the death of the Public Prosecutor, Hisham Barakat. This came as the minister today paid a visit to the headquarters of the embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He presented his condolences on the martyrdom of the Egyptian Public Prosecutor whose convoy was the target of a terrorist attack last Monday morning. The minister said the Arab Judicial family has lost an outstanding judicial figure of great caliber, yet the Arab Republic of Egypt is still full of venerable and competent judges who have the capability and impudence to take over and successfully continue the jobuttering confidence in the Arab Republic of Egypt’s ability to overcome the ordeal thanks to the wisdom and persistence of its wise leadership and solidarity of its people, towards further development and prosperity. The minister affirmed that Bahrain supports Egypt in all circumstances and backs all the measures it takes to curb terrorism, violence and extremism as well in its cooperation with Arab and international efforts with aim of underpinning regional security and stability. The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Esam Saleh Awad, took pride in the minister’s visit to convey the condolences and consolation of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the martyrdom of Public Prosecutor, Advisor Hisham Barakat, saying the visit reflects the close Bahraini-Egyptian relations.
