Foreign Minister receives Philippines President’s Special Envoy

Manama, June 13 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of the Philippines to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, Dr. Amabel Aguiluz on an official visit to Bahrain. During the meeting, the minister praised the growing relations of friendship between Bahrain and the Philippines and their progress in various fields and on all levels, which benefited the two friendly countries and peoples. Dr. Amabel Aguiluz took pride in the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines at all levels. He stressed the keenness of the Republic of the Philippines to push its relations with Bahrain forward to wider horizons in order to meet the common aspirations of the two countries, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
