Foreign Ministry Undersecretary takes part in 24th GCC-EU ministerial meeting

Doha, May 24 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah took part in the 24th GCC-EU ministerial meeting which convened in Doha today. Discussions focused on key issues including ways of boosting cooperation within a strategic framework in order to serve common interests. Regional and international issues of mutual concern were also spotlighted, including the situation in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Libya, the Iranian nuclear programme and joint cooperation to fight terrorism. Both sides issued a statement at the end of the meeting, hailing cooperation in various fields. The Foreign Ministry Undersecretary also took part in the GCC Foreign Ministers Coordination meeting which was held on May 23 in preparation for the 24th GCC-EU ministerial meeting.
