Forest fires, haze in Lampang

LAMPANG, March 20 (TNA) - An ongoing severe drought in Thailand has caused forest fires and haze in the northern province of Lampang. They said forest fire had earlier erupted at Doi Jong National Park in Lampang, damaging more than 70 rai of forest trees. Simultaneously, another forest fire occurred at a village in Lampang’s Thoen district, burning areas covering about 50 rai. As air quality is bad in some areas the province, an aerial satellite has detected more than 80 hotspots in 13 districts in Lampang. (TNA)
