Forum on Milipol Qatar Held

Doha, September 04 (QNA) - The 12th International Exhibition of Internal Security and Civil Defense 2018 (Milipol Qatar) introduction forum was held in Doha on Tuesday, in the presence of representatives of companies and institutions working in the field of security and safety equipment and systems. Milipol Qatar, which will be held from October 29 to 31, is expected to be attended by a wide range of local and international companies working in the field of homeland security and civil defense. This is the first edition after the merging of Milipol Qatar and Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference. President of Milipol Qatar Committee Brigadier Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani said that the 12th session of Milipol Qatar 2018 exhibition will emphasize the importance of the civil defense sector in protecting the population and enhancing public safety, noting that the exhibition is the most effective in the field of internal security and civil defense at the Middle East region. For the first time, Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference merged with Milipol Qatar so that everything related to the internal security will come under one roof, he added. President of Milipol Qatar Committee pointed out that the Ministry of Interior has taken important steps to ensure the utilization of the latest civil defense systems in the State of Qatar. The Ministry continues to raise awareness about public safety by organizing a series of leading conferences, exhibitions, lectures, and training programs, he added. "In the midst of the continuous changes and developments that characterize our world today, the civil defense sector continues to play an increasingly important role in enabling States to protect their populations in emergencies, disasters and daily challenges, as well as addressing a range of important issues such as crisis management, emergency management and planning and preparedness for civil emergencies, measures and assistance for civil protection. Milipol Qatar 2018 will highlight a range of state-of-the-art civil defense, monitoring and protection solutions designed to protect the population," he added. This year's edition will also feature live interactive presentations, where exhibitors, visitors, and buyers will be able to see first-hand the latest products and innovations in the industry, he said. President of Milipol Qatar Committee pointed out that the exhibition will also feature seminars, informative presentations, case studies and important discussions in the presence of a group of global thinkers, adding that these seminars will discuss three main topics: cybersecurity, civil defense and security management of major events. Brigadier Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani revealed that many civil defense companies have officially confirmed their participation in Millpol 2018 including Nafco, the world leader in the production and supply of fire equipment, the Integrated Engineering System (CESCO), Gulf International Trading Company, China Pioneer from China, Haix Schuhe, GmbH from Germany, Turbosan from Turkey and others. "Milipol Qatar is a pivotal event that provides unique opportunities for security and safety professionals and security service providers to meet and discuss the most important developments in the security sector under one roof," he said. The exhibition also presents the most important internal security solutions and innovations that are essential to any country and thus provides a platform for different countries to see these solutions, build relationships and make contracts. President of the Milipol Qatar Committee invited companies operating in Qatar from different sectors to participate in the event and take advantage of the opportunity to play an active role in the internal security of the State and to keep up with the latest developments in the sector. Assistant Director of General Directorate of Civil Defense Brigadier Hamad Osman Al Duhaimi said that this meeting is an opportunity to discuss all the ideas and proposals concerning Milipol Qatar. He said that this year's edition will witness the largest and most powerful participation in the history of this exhibition since its launch after Milipol Qatar's integration with Civil Defense Exhibition and Conference, which means opening new doors for the participation of companies operating in this sector. He urged all companies and institutions specialized in civil defense to participate actively in the exhibition and to showcase all its capabilities, advanced products and offer the latest technologies and security equipment, thus contributing to the development of its capabilities in this regard, in light of the growth witnessed by the State of Qatar and the major projects in various sectors. He pointed out that this exhibition is an opportunity to highlight the role of the national product and marketing it globally, as well as communicate with major international companies and international marketing platforms. Assistant Director-General of General Directorate of Logistics and Supply and Milipol Qatar committee member Brigadier Saud Rashid Al Shafi stressed the importance of local companies' participation in the exhibition in order that companies, exhibitors and visitors learn about the latest technologies and advanced solutions in civil defense and internal security.
