Foundation stone laid for Ilham Aliyev Park in Izmit

Izmit, April 23, AZERTAC A ground-breaking ceremony for a park after President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been held in the Turkish city of Izmit. Designed by the Federation of Turkey-Azerbaijan Associations (TADEF), the park is being laid by Izmit Municipality. The ceremony featured the planting of trees in the area by Azerbaijani and Turkish officials, public, culture and art figures, scholars, heads of NGOs, and media representatives. Speakers at the ceremony included deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Valeh Hajiyev, chairman of TADEF Bilal Dundar, and Izmit Municipality Chairman Nevzat Dogan.
