France Seeks to Boost Media and Cultural Partnership with Qatar

Doha, May 19 (QNA) - A French media delegation represents "International France Media Group," praised outcomes of their meetings with HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari and a number of Qatari officials. In a statement to Qatar News Agency(QNA) Monday ,Radio Monte Carlo director Souad Al-Tayyeb described the meetings as positive and witnessed mutually confirmations of the Qatari -French sides to strengthen media and cultural ties. Souad Al-Tayyeb said: "We are happy with the level of partnership between the two sides and we seek to promote this partnership in the coming period in the areas of cooperation in radio and television fields in addition to share opportunities and experiences and exchange visits" . The French delegation , which includes Karen Oswald, Director of Distribution and Development in Arab Maghreb, the Middle East and Turkey and Radio Monte Carlo director Souad Al-Tayyeb said their meeting with Qatari officials focused on the role of media and its effectiveness in supporting and enhancing cultural relations , common understanding and cooperation between the two countries. It is to be noted that the "International France Media Group" is including Radio Monte Carlo and Radio France and the channel "France 24" , which broadcasts in Arabic, French and English languages .(QNA)
