Free Tuk Tuk taxi service in Hat Yai

SONGKHLA, THAILAND, November 21 (TNA) - A cooperative of Songkhla- Hat Yai small taxi operators offers free service for passengers in the Nakhon Hat Yai Municipality on November 21 in a bid to do good deeds to pay tribute to late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. About 80 four-wheeled Tuk Tuk taxis, local vehicles in Hat Yai, have agreed to provide their service, free of charges, all day from 8am-5pm, to also express their gratitude to the late and beloved Thai monarch’s contributions to his subjects during his 70 years on the throne. Kittisak Saso, manager of the cooperatives, told reporters that over 80 members of his cooperative voluntarily took part in the one-day free service, held in the heart of the southern Thai business hub in Songkhla Province. The participating Tuk Tuk drivers placed free service stickers and Thai flags on their vehicles to let passengers know they were operating free of charges from 8am to 5pm. (TNA)
