FSB promises $50-mln reward for info about culprits of A321 plane crash

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russia’s federal security service FSB has declared a $50-mln reward for information about those responsible for the A321 passenger jet liner of the Kogalymavia airlines in the Sinai Peninsula. "For providing evidence that will contribute to the detention of criminals a reward of $50-million will be paid," the FSB’s public relations department said. "A probe into the causes of the crash of A321 plane (flight 9268 from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg) has found that the aircraft crashed as a result of detonation of an explosive device, which is qualified as a terrorist attack," the FSB said. "According to our estimates a makeshift bomb having a yield of up to one kilogram of the TNT went off, which caused the plane to fall apart in the air. This explains why the plane’s debris were scattered over a large area," FBS Director Aleksandr Bortnikov told President Vladimir Putin. Read more
