Funeral for Late Ri Jae Il Held

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- There was a funeral for Ri Jae Il, ex-advisor to the Information and Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and recipient of Order of Kim Il Sung and Order of Kim Jong Il and the title of Labor Hero, at the Sojang Club on Saturday. The funeral was attended by officials of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and bereaved family members of the deceased. The participants and the bereaved family members offered a moment's silence for the deceased before the coffin left. A motor vehicle with the coffin left for the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri where the funeral service was held. Kwon Hyok Bong, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, made a funeral speech. He said that Ri Jae Il, who was raised to be a competent Party official and a political activist under the deep trust and loving care shown by the peerlessly great men, rendered devoted services to defending the undying feats performed by Chairman Kim Jong Il for the Party ideological work and to thoroughly establishing the monolithic leadership system of the Party Central Committee in the whole Party and society at an important historic time of carrying out the revolutionary cause of Juche. He went on: Upon the news of his death, Marshal Kim Jong Un, feeling pain in the chest more than anyone, taught one issue after another in holding the funeral ceremony and made sure that his remains were buried in the Patriotic Martyrs Ceremony. Ri Jae Il who worked with total dedication to the strengthening of the Party and to the victory of the socialist cause will always be remembered. The remains of the deceased were buried. A wreath from the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was placed before the grave. Wreaths in the names of departments of the WPK Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and other institutions were placed. The participants observed a moment's silence for the deceased. -0-
