G-20 Foreign Ministers Likely to Meet in Aichi in 2019

Tokyo, March 2 (Jiji Press)--The Japanese government is considering holding a meeting of the Group of 20 foreign ministers in Aichi Prefecture in 2019 under its first G-20 presidency, government sources said Friday. The government is also examining Hokkaido's town of Kutchan, Ehime Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture as possible venues for meetings of the G-20 tourism, labor and health ministers, respectively, according to the sources. The government has already decided to hold the 2019 summit of the G-20 advanced and emerging economies in the city of Osaka and a meeting of the finance ministers and central bank governors in the city of Fukuoka the same year. A total of around eight G-20 ministerial meetings related to the Osaka summit are expected to be held in Japan. END
