Gaza Mayor Congratulates Indonesia For Celebrating Independence Day

Jakarta, Aug 20 (Antara) - The Mayor of Gaza city, Palestine, Issam Jouda congratulates Indonesia for celebrating its 69th anniversary of Independence, Abdillah Onim, an Indonesian volunteer in Gaza noted here on Wednesday by phone. "For our brothers and sisters in Indonesia, we congratulate you on your 69th Independence Day this August 17, 2014. We pray that Indonesians will forever live in peace, free and have a bright future," Onim stated, quoting the Gaza Mayor Jouda. Onim said Mayor Jouda expressed appreciation for Indonesia`s support to Palestine. "Indonesia is always ready to support Palestine," he remarked. Mayor Jouda was also optimistic that Palestine will soon celebrate its independence day and called on other countries in the world to support Palestine in its efforts to gain freedom from Israel.
