GCC Financial and Economic Committee Meets in Doha Saturday

Doha, May 06 (QNA) - Doha will host on Saturday a meeting for the GCC Financial and Economic Committee under the chairmanship of HE Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi. At the meeting, the committee is scheduled take a number of decisions to strengthen financial and economic cooperation between the GCC member states within the context of the completion of the GCC common market project and the promotion the economic integration. The meeting's agenda includes a number of topics aimed at enhancing economic and financial relations between the member countries. It will discuss and take appropriate decisions in relation to the uniform tax system for the GCC countries, and reports on the meetings of the committee of governors and heads if monetary and banking institutions in GCC countries, as well as the customs union authority and the customs union committee. Meanwhile, undersecretaries of GCC finance ministries will hold their 6th meeting in Doha tomorrow (Thursday) to discuss a memo by the GCC General Secretariat on the joint meeting of the unified tax system and the legal working team in the GCC countries. The undersecretaries of GCC finance ministries committee is scheduled to present its recommendations to the Financial and Economic Committee. (QNA)
