GCC Interior Ministers Witness Signing of Agreement to Establish GCC Police Headquarters

Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Their Highnesses and Excellencies GCC Ministers of Interior witnessed the signing of an agreement to establish the headquarters of GCC Police body. The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 34th Consultative Meeting which was held today at the Sheraton Doha Hotel. The agreement was signed for the UAE, the host of the headquarters of GCC Police, by HH Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan and for the GCC Secretariat-General by HE GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Police College and the GCC Secretariat-General. The MoU was signed by HE GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and HE Deputy Chairman of Supreme Council of Qatar Police College and Advisor to Minister of Interior Major General Dr Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal. The agreement aimed at taking advantage of GCC Secretariat-General's research and educational expertise as well as participation in its activities besides exchange of research between the two sides.
