GDP REACHES MNT 9,922.2 BILLION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first three quarters of 2012, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by production approach reached MNT 9,922.2 billion at current prices increasing 23.5 per cent against the previous year. The GDP reached MNT 3,864.6 billion at 2005 constant prices increasing 10.2 per cent against the previous year. The national consumer price index in September 2012 increased 1.0 per cent against the previous month, by 12.2 per cent against the beginning of the year, and by 14.8 per cent against the previous year. The increase in national index compared to the previous month was mainly due to 39.9-per cent increase in alcoholic beverages and tobacco. B.Khuder
