Georgia intends to deepen cooperation with Turkey in military industry

Tbilisi, Georgia, Jan. 10 By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: Georgia intends to deepen cooperation with Turkey in the sphere of military industry. Representatives of General Staff of Turkish Armed Forces are on an official visit to Georgia. Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania received the delegation headed by Lieutenant General Atilla Gulen on Jan.10. Alasania thanked the guests for the contribution to the development of the Georgian armed forces and for humanitarian aid. The parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation and future plans, Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend. One of the topics of the talks was cooperation in the sphere of military industry. The defense minister talked about the issues of Georgia's integration to NATO, participation in ISAF and the subsequent period, as well as the security situation in the region. Translated by L.Z.
