GGB in statistics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first of half of this year, total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General Government Budget (GGB) amounted to MNT 2504.9 billion and total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 2637.9 billion. They represented a deficit of MNT 133.0 billion in the equilibrated balance of GGB. The GGB’s current revenue amounted to MNT 2504.5 billion and current expenditure reached MNT 2353.8 billion, thus the budget equilibrated current balance was in surplus of MNT 150.7 billion. Tax revenue increased by MNT 66.2 billion or 3.1 per cent against the previous year. The increase was mainly due to the increases of MNT 115.0 billion or 15.6 per cent in taxes on goods and services, MNT 87.5 billion or 21.9 per cent in income tax, MNT 71.8 billion or 22.9 per cent in social security contribution. However, there were decreases of MNT 209.9 billion or 43.4 per cent in other taxes. Non-tax revenue increased by MNT 90.5 billion or 37.4 per cent against the previous year. The increase was mainly due to the increases of MNT 53.0 billion or 2.8 times in revenues from interest, MNT 31.4 billion or 2.0 times in revenues from oil petroleum, MNT 25.5 billion or 24.4 per cent in revenues from budget entities, MNT 4.7 billion or 24.5 per cent in navigation fee although there were decreases of MNT 19.9 billion or 82.2 per cent in revenues from dividends, MNT 4.6 billion or 14.2 per cent in revenues from others. Total expenditure and net lending of the GGB decreased by MNT 292.2 billion or 10.0 per cent to MNT 2637.9 billion against the previous year. This was mainly due to increases of MNT 347.4 billion or 37.1 per cent in expenditure of goods and services, MNT 37.0 billion or 67.0 per cent in interest payments although there were decreases of MNT 353.6 billion or 58.3 per cent in capital expenditure, MNT 313.0 billion or 24.2 per cent in subsidies and transfers, MNT 10.0 billion or 24.2 per cent in lending minus repayments.
