Tokyo, May 8 (Jiji Press)--The total number of visitors to Ginza Six, a new commercial complex that opened in Tokyo's Ginza district on April 20, reached 1.52 million on Sunday, with the daily average at 85,000, its operator said Monday. The number of visitors looks likely to exceed the operator's target of 20 million in the first year. Ginza Six was especially busy during the Golden Week holiday period, which ended Sunday, attracting both Japanese and foreign visitors, the operator said. The new facility, built on the former site of a Matsuzakaya department store, has a total of 241 stores, many of them selling luxury brand items, and a theater for staging the traditional performing art of Noh.
