'Global Malaysians', A Pathway To Job Opportunities Back Home

SYDNEY (Australia), Oct 1 (Bernama) -- "Global Malaysians", a new online job board to connect Malaysian professionals working overseas with leading Malaysian employers, has been launched here by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp). Established in conjunction with GRADUAN–MASCA (Malaysian Students' Council of Australia), http://myStarjob.com/globalmalaysians/ focuses on Malaysians with international experience and expertise who may wish to return home. TalentCorp Chief Executive Officer Johan Mahmood Merican told Bernama that Malaysians who have been abroad for many years sometimes found it challenging to look for jobs back home. "At the same time, leading employers are in critical need of talent and value talent with global perspectives. "Global Malaysians provides a platform to bring together overseas Malaysians and top employers," Johan said at a professional networking session in Sydney Monday. Global Malaysians, a collaboration between TalentCorp and myStarjob.com, has already offered more than 200 mid to senior-level professional positions from over 40 employers, including OSRAM, Shell, IBM, BASF Petronas Chemicals, KPMG, Hong Leong Bank, and Gamuda. "For ambitious talent, Malaysia remains a great place to work, given the ample opportunities and because hard work gets rewarded," said Patrick Ng, PwC Assurance & Human Capital Partner at the Sydney leg of GRADUAN–MASCA Australia Recruitment Drive 2014. "Our businesses continue to grow and with that our need for talent. Gamuda actively recruits Malaysians abroad with the right skills we need," Lai Tak Ming, Gamuda Berhad Director of Group Human Resources & Administration said.
