Global Shapers Community bureau opened in Baku

Baku, April 10 (AzerTAc). An official opening ceremony of the Baku bureau of the World Economic Forum`s Global Shapers Community was held Monday here. The World Economic Forum has approved the nomination of Vusal Mamamdov for the formation of local network in Baku. Addressing the event, Nizami Piriyev, chairman of the Azerbaijani representation of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry, said that the formation of the new network in Baku was one of the important events for young businessmen operating in Azerbaijan. Community manager Melih Nurnuel said the program aimed to further increase opportunities of youngsters. “Youth cannot be sufficiently represented in the world economy and world policy. We want youths to be involved in the solution of several problems. The Global Shapers Community has networks in 145 cities of the world. Baku is among them.” Curator of the Baku bureau Vusal Mammadov said they aimed to provide the networking of young leaders from different spheres. “Youths in the local network will have the opportunity to attend the world economic forum directly. As a local network, we aim to develop the Azerbaijani youths.”
