GOBI BEARS ACCESS MORE WATER POINTS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This work was done in 2013 in the Great Gobi strictly protected areas. Two of them are the springs recovered in Shar khuls and Khoshoot places, other two are automatic ground wells bored in Myangan tooroi and Baruun shargat. Moreover, supplemental food was provided for the bears at 28 feeder sites by non-government organizations /NGOs/, companies and individuals such as "National Pride-Gobi bear" and "MAMA" NGOs. The Gobi bear is a subspecies of the brown bear that is found in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. At present, they are listed as "very rare" in Mongolian Red Book.
