GOIC Holds Meeting with SCCI to Discuss Ways of Common Cooperation

Doha, May 06 (QNA) - The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting(GOIC) held here today a meeting with a delegation led by Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The two sides discussed means of enhancing mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences contributing in the industrial development in the GCC states in The upcoming period especially after the signing cooperation agreement in last February. The GOIC Secretary General Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, said the current visit of the SCCI is consolidating the strategy and the five-year plan of GOIC which aims to carry out the private sector's projects. He said cooperation between GOIC and SCCI aims to set up new projects, adding that investment in the small and medium-scale industries will contribute to prosperity and economic development, support the development process in the UAE, provide job opportunities and play a prominent role in boosting economic and social activities. Meanwhile, chairman of SCCI affirmed the importance of cooperation between SCCI and GOIC due to the positive role it played in developing and upgrading the economy and the possibility of benefiting from the SCCI and GOIC experience in implementing a number of future developmental projects,hailing the role of the GOIC and its programmes aiming at promoting industrial development in GCC states. Durign the meeting, SCCI members were briefed on GOIC activities and programmes, especially the Information and Market Intelligence Portal (IMI), the industrial investment programme and services proposed by the Organization to develop the small and medium-scale industries in the UAE.
