Government-parliament cooperation stressed

Manama, July 7 (BNA): The Minister of Information Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi has lauded the accord between the legislative and executive branches over the state budget for the financial years 2015 – 2016, saying it would support the action plan of the government to implement projects and essential services and to enhance living standards. The minister stressed as he received MP Ibrahim Jumaa Al Hammad, member of the public utilities and environment committee, the keen interest of the government in reinforcing cooperation with the legislative branch and consolidating achievements for the people and the nation under the reforms launched by HM King Hamad. The meeting reviewed ways to consolidate cooperation with the Council of Representatives, to strengthen reforms and sustainable development and to enhance the values of national unity and peaceful coexistence. The minister praised the level of awareness of the people of Bahrain in standing unified against extremism, violence and terrorism. MP Al Hammadi lauded the minister's interest in highlighting the efforts and contributions of the Council of Representatives and in confirming the nation's values in the various media.
