Governor Inspects Islamic Parliamentary Conference Facilities

Palembang, Jan 26 (ANTARA) - South Sumatra Governor H Alex Noerdin made an inspection of the location of the parliamentary meeting of Islamic countries at Hotel Aryaduta, Palembang, on Wednesday. The governor inspected the conference hall, media center and exhibition of regional handicraft articles there with the participation of 51 Islamic countries. The governor said the event was to discuss the latest and future problems. He also said he will support the success of the meeting. Head of the news and publication division of the House of Representatives who is also the organizers Djustiawan W said that all the facilities of the parliamentary meeting have been completed and ready for use. But any shortcomings will have to be notified to the Governor for immediate correction. Earlier, regional committee secretary of the event Nasrun Umar said the meeting will be opened on Sunday (Jan 30).
