Graduation ceremony held for UoB 22nd batch

Manama, June 2 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa deputised Education Minister and Chairman of the Higher Education Council Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi to attend the graduation ceremony of the 22nd batch of more than 3400 graduates and post graduates from the University of Bahrain (UoB). The ceremony was held under the patronage of HRH the Prime Minister at Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Hall at the UoB premises in Sakhir. The Education Minister lauded the tremendous support accorded by Bahrain leadership to the educational field in Bahrain, hailing HRH the Premier's patronage of the celebration. He highlighted the main achievements of the Higher Education Council in cooperation with global think tanks, pointing out steps taken by UoB to achieve more excellence in coping with the needs of the labour market, national priorities and global developments. The Education Minister and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, the Deputy patron of the graduation ceremony, honoured the post graduates and presented the outstanding graduates with the academic excellence prizes. The UoB will continue organising the graduation ceremonies for its students in the next days. The celebration was attended by Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, UoB President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi, his deputies, the academic and administrative staff and the graduates' families.
