"Great and Good Friends" exhibition held to celebrate 200th US-Thai diplomatic relations

BANGKOK, February 9 (TNA) - The US Embassy to Thailand will organize a three-month exhibition, themed "Great and Good Friends" in Bangkok later this year to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 200th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Washington and Bangkok. US Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Glyn T. Davies told journalists on Thursday that the special exhibition will be held at the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles in the capital during March 21-June 30. "Visitors to the exhibition will learn on the development of longstanding relations between the United States and Thailand through a total of 79 presents exchanged between US presidents and Thai Kings. Most of the gifts have never been on public display elsewhere", said the US top envoy. The US ambassador stressed that the United States will uphold and keep on strengthening sound ties and cooperation with Thailand in various areas, including public health and education, as well as peace promotion through the non-violence policy.
