Greetings to African Union

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Friday sent a message of greeting to Moussa Faki Mahamat, chairman of the Commission of African Union, on the occasion of the Day of Africa. The message said that the Korean people sincerely wish the African people great fruition in their efforts to realize politico-economic integration of the continent, consolidate peace and stability and achieve the independent development and prosperity. The DPRK government and people extend support and solidarity to the African Union and the people in the continent for enhancing the continent's prestige and voice in the international arena, it added. The message expressed belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and the African Union and its member nations would grow stronger in the future. -0-
