Gulf Health Council Issues Comprehensive Guide on Medicines

Riyadh, January 26 (QNA) - The Gulf Health Council issued a comprehensive guide that includes all important information about medicines, and it explains how the medicine turns from a poison into a treatment after the patient takes it in the right dose at the right time. In a statement on Wednesday, the Council said that the 19-page guide includes comprehensive and broad information about medicines, as well as tips and methods for dealing with medicines of various types and functions. The guide also contains other important information, including: the definition of the drug, its types, forms and names; breaking tablets; storing medicines at home and during travel; the expiration date of medicines after opening; the attached medicine leaflet; ways to facilitate the process of swallowing tablets and capsules; pregnant women and medicines; overdose, how to dispose of damaged or expired medicines; and drug interactions.
