Hajj security committee checks safety requirements

Manama, Aug.11 (BNA): The security committee has started checking all preparations and procedures to ensure the safety of Bahrain pilgrims. “The committee has started its work as soon as it reached the holy sites in Saudi Arabia”, said Exits Security director-general Brigadier-General Maher Bouali, committee chairman and member of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah The security committee has been established under directives from the Minister of Interior to take care of Bahrain pilgrims whilst performing their Hajj rituals and cooperate with competent authorities in Saudi Arabia. Captain Ahmed Ali Mohammed said that security committee inspected the accommodation of the Bahrain pilgrims to ensure all safety measures, including fire alarms and extinguishers, the entrances and exits at the buildings, in addition to emergency exists. The committee has also distribute leaflets featuring security tips and Hajj instructions in Saudi Arabia.
