Hamad Town brawl video is old

Manama, June 3 (BNA): The Anti-cyber Crime Directorate affirmed that the video circulated on social media websites showing a fight in Hamad Town was quite old and dated back to 2011. It said that re-posting it was meant to incite sedition and undermine social peace.  The directorate said that legal action would be taken against those involved in re-posting it as well as those who spread malicious rumours to damage the social fabric. It urged people to obtain information from official sources.  It said the security department concerned also dealt with a fight between a number of people in Hamad Town on June 1 shortly after the incident was reported and legal action was taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
