RANONG, Nov 21 (TNA) - Three Swedish cyclists are joined by dozens of Thais as they are riding through Ranong province in a global campaign Happy World Tour for Happy Child Foundation aiming to raise fund for orphans of 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami in Thailand. Beginning their tour in Turkey, the Swedes have cruised through many provinces of Thailand after entering the kingdom in the northernmost province of Chiang Rai en route for Phuket. Cycling enthusiasts and donors in Thailand have accompanied them along the way. Cycling club of the national flag carrier Thai Airways has provided them riding mates and sponsorship. The Happy Child Foundation was established by Calle Wollgard who worked as a volunteer after the tsunami struck the southern coast of Thailand and other countries in 2004. The foundation's website, happychild.se, states that the Happy World Tour's team consists of Wollgard, Eva Ericsson and Louisa Hakansson, crossing 27 countries in four continents and covering more than 30 000 km. The donations raised will be for supporting Barnhem Muang Mai orhanage in Phuket. (TNA)
