HCHR: Daash Recruited One Thousand Children In Mosul To Carry Out Terrorist Operations

BAGHDAD / NINA / High Commission for Human Rights announced that the terrorist organization Daash (ISIS) recruited more than a thousand children in Mosul to carry out terrorist operations. The Commission member, Fadel Ghraoui said in a statement that Daash set up an institute in Mosul for the recruitment of children and brainwashed and distorting their ideas in order to recharge them with ideas of murder and violence, and some of them have implemented a series of terrorist attacks, whether by car bombs or improvised explosive devices. He pointed out that there is an urgent need for the international community to combat this crime and serious violations against children in Iraq and to hold an international conference to combat the recruitment of children and to develop mechanisms by the Iraqi government, the religious leaders, civil society organizations and specialists to remedy the effects planted by Daash in the memory of th children of Iraq. / End
