HE Minister of Environment to Launch Cleanliness Campaign

Doha, November 26 (QNA) - HE Minister of Environment Ahmad bin Amer Al-Hemaidi will launch Saturday 10th National Cleanliness Campaign. The campaign, which will focus on cleaning, beaches and islands, will last two months until January 2015 in a step to improve the spirit of volunteer work, particularly in the field of protecting the environment. A number of state institutions and ministries will participate in the campaign, in addition to students from universities. The Ministry already set up a committee that will plan and monitor the campaign. The committee includes representatives from different ministries such as Ministry of Interior, Defense, Municipality and Urban Planning, Supreme Education Council and Qatar Petroleum. (QNA)
