HE the Premier Witnesses Signing of Umm Al Haul Plant Contracts

Doha, May 24 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani witnessed Sunday the signing of Umm Al Haul power project contracts. Umm Al Haul is one of the largest projects in the State of Qatar and the region with a capacity of 2,520 megawatts of electricity and 136 million gallons of desalinated water per day. Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation owns 60% of the project, while Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Foundation acquires 5% each. The remaining 30% stake goes to Mitsubishi and Tepco. (QNA)
