HE Prime Minister: HH the Emir's Directives Behind Youth Economic Empowerment

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani has asserted that the youth economic empowerment and all government's efforts to support the private sector are the implementation of the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. Speaking to reporters following the opening session of the Youth Economic Empowerment Forum, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior said that all these initiatives aimed at enhancing partnerships with the private sector and ensuring non-competition by government to it. HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani said that the aim of the forum was to support young people and encourage them to initiate business in the private sector and to empower their projects, by showing them how to take advantage of all the existing experience and expertise from both the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the private sector.      Responding to a question on problems related to funding young people projects, HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani noted that banks have begun to provide funding for projects built on sound foundations, and the ministries of economy, trade and finance are playing a role in this area. With regard to industrial land, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior pointed to the formation of a ministerial committee to study the state need of industrial land in the next five years, whether they are needed for public schools, private schools, hospitals or industrial lands.
