HE the Prime Minister, Turkish Counterpart Attend Qatari -Turkish Forum

Doha, April 28 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al -Thani and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu and a number of Qatari businessmen and their Turkish counterparts today attended activities of Qatari -Turkish Forum currently held at Doha Marriott Hotel. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Davutoglu described bilateral relations between the two countries as a unique dynamic relationship, disclosing that the volume of trade between Turkey and Qatar recently rose remarkably to $1. 300 billion and must rise to $ 3 billion during the next period and then to $ 5 billion . He stressed that the State of Qatar has a capital increases day to day and that Turkish companies operating in the field of construction, consulting and security amounted to $ 15.300 billion ,saying the hosting of the 2022 FIFA World and the Qatar National Vision 2030 would provide huge opportunities. The Turkish premier described his talks with Qatari senior officials as fruitful stemming from honest brotherhood, noting that businessmen in both countries would not face any problems regarding the bureaucratic procedures. Davutoglu stressed the need to coordinate efforts and establish a partnership in the medical field in light of the common possibilities that will undoubtedly propel the medical tourism sector, while saying his discussions included ways to accept the Turkish doctors wishing to work in Qatar. He added that ' We want more Qatari investment in industry in the coming period, pointing to talks regarding exporting of Qatari liquefied natural gas to Turkey. ( The Turkish Premier Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu also referred to the tourism sector, where he said that 36,000 Qataris visited Turkey last year, calling for pushing forward cooperation in the field of tourism investment and other cultural fields. Speaking about the free trade zone between Turkey and the GCC states, he said, "Turkey attaches great importance to the establishment of a free trade area with these countries, and they look to the State of Qatar as one of the main pillars in the GCC, so request the support of Qatar for his country in this the field." For his part, HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al -Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, said that the exchange of visits by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey had resulted in the formation of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation between the two countries, which move relations to a qualitatively and sophisticated level and make the Qatari - Turkish alliance the cornerstone of the economic cooperation between the two countries. He added that this visit comes within the context of the transfer of Qatari - Turkish relations to a new level of cooperation and coordination towards institutional work .. Pointing out that the many agreements that had been signed during the last period would improve the cooperation between the two countries to a higher level, especially economic and financial and investment domains, in addition to energy, science and technology fields. He noted that the two countries have a great desire to achieve economic integration, which stems mainly from the fact that the two countries have the capabilities of the task and the riches that will achieve this goal. He disclosed that the Turkish companies were able to win 119 projects worth more than $ 15 billion, he said "We are happy to deal with Turkish companies for their diverse expertise and high technology .. On the other hand Qatari businessmen are active in the real estate sector in Turkey, in addition to services, and banks, where many of them prefer to invest in real estate, land and hotels.
