HE Prime Minister, Turkish Prime Minster Hold Talks

Doha, April 28 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu, held a session of official talks in the Emiri Diwan on Thursday . At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior welcomed the Turkish Premier saying that the Qatari - Turkish relations benefit of the attention paid by the leadership of our two countries stemming from their wisdom and understanding that the world is facing serious challenges on all political and economic and humanitarian levels, especially in the Middle East, which requires further cooperation at the bilateral level to achieve our common interests. In a speech he delivered during the session of talks, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior said we look forward today, during our meeting, to continue efforts to enhance the excellent and deeply rooted bilateral relations over the decades, which witnessed a steady development in political, economic, security, cultural and other fields. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior stressed that the security agreement which will be signed between the two sides today will develop an additional consolidation to the sold relations between the two countries and will bring the aspirations of our peoples towards progress and prosperity. For his part, the Turkish Prime Minister hailed the "historic' and 'ideal' bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, describing the mutual ties between the two countries' leaders and peoples as 'brotherly'. He praised the 'complementary' relations between the two countries and bilateral cooperation at all levels, particularly in investment, economic and energy sectors. The visit of President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to Qatar has resulted in the signing of a number of important agreements between the two sides, which have a strategic impact, the Turkish Premier said, hoping that there will be Turkish investments in the State of Qatar in all areas. Dr. Davutoglu said he looks forward that the Turkish companies will enter the Qatari market and have a share in the investments in all areas such as the World Cup, defense industries and energy. The two sides discussed during the session bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various fields, especially economic, security and cultural fields, as well as the regional and international developments along with a number of issues of mutual interest, especially the developments in the Middle East. Following the session of officials' talks, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and the Turkish Prime Minister witnessed the signing of a Cooperation Agreement in the military field. The session of talks and the signing ceremony were attended by a number Their Excellencies the Ministers while on the Turkish side they were attended by members of the official accompanying delegation.
