Heads of national news agencies of Black Sea area to discuss cooperation

YEREVAN, November 25. /TASS/. Prospects for cooperation and problems in development of news services in the context of today’s media space are expected to come into focus at the 7th General Assembly of the Black Sea Area National News Agencies association /BSANNA/ that will be chaired by TASS Director General Sergei Mikhailov. Participants in the assembly will examine collaboration between countries in the sphere of information, as well as promotion of contacts for exchanging experience and upgrading the efficiency of their performance. Media experts from the countries of the Black Sea area make emphasis on unbiased coverage of events taking place in the region and a considerable part of the discussions will be devoted to improvements in the agencies’ routine operations amid the impact of a new informational environment, the pressure of economic factors, globalization, and transformation of the media. The journalists who have come to Yerevan will exchange opinions on the problems of tolerance and unbiased reporting. BSANNA is an important player in the media space of the Black Sea area countries, as it assists the solution of global and professional problems and promotes cooperation between news services on the fast-changing information market. The forum in Yerevan brings together national news agencies officials from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. Read more
