HEALTH MINISTER N.UDVAL AT WHA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Representing Mongolia, the Minister of Health N.Udval and a head of the Monitoring, Analysis and Domestic Audit Department of the Ministry S.Togsdelger are participating in the 67th World Health Assembly /WHA/ in Geneva, Switzerland on May 19-24. The event has been attended by more than 3000 delegates including representatives of 194 member countries, the UN agencies, and international non-government organizations, and observers. This year, a discussion is running under themed “Climate and health”. The WHA is the supreme decision-making body of WHO. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board. The main functions of the WHA are to determine the policies of the Organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget. The Health Assembly is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland.
