Health Ministry's systems praised

Manama, May 1 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) Lieutenant-General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has received a delegation from the Indra Systems Company, led by the company's General Manager for Health and Security Information Systems. The meeting, also attended by SCH Secretary-General Ibrahim Al-Nawakhdha, reviewed the latest developments of the National Health Information System (I-Seha) and the best ways to ensure more complementarity among health systems in the kingdom. Future cooperation between the Health Ministry and Indra Systems was also discussed, giving the company's successful experiences in introducing advanced technology in the field of health care and developing heath systems. Doctor Shaikh Mohammed praised the implementation of the integrated healthcare system across the kingdom's health centres within the I-Seha project, praising the positive outcomes of cooperation between the Health Ministry and Indra Systems. In this regard, the SCH President expressed thanks and appreciation to the Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, Undersecretary Aysha Bu Onq, and all I-Seha team members. He expressed delight at the landmark national achievement, and voiced pride in keenness to develop health services according to the latest world systems. He stressed that the integrated system should be the basis for the National Health Insurance as it will link service providers and those who buy it. He affirmed that latest systems implemented by the Health Ministry will enable its decision-makers to follow up on the progress of health services provided for patients, and develop the best plans to ensure high quality services at low costs, in line with the government's policies outlined in its action plan.
