HEC Secretary-General receives Italian ambassador

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Vice-Chairperson of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa received Italian Ambassador Paola Amadi. The meeting discussed ways to introduce each country’s students to the provided academic programs by specialists in higher education institutions through virtual meetings to motivate them to study abroad. The secretary general praised the distinguished Bahraini-Italian relations. She stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen cooperation in education and research, and exchange of scientific and academic expertise to support the comprehensive development process. The ambassador expressed her appreciation for the council’s efforts in promoting higher education and providing all the means to encourage investment in higher education, and wished the secretary-general further success.
