HH the Emir Holds Phone Conversation with Ban Ki-moon

Doha, August 22 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Friday held via telephone a conversation with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The two sides discussed the latest developments in Gaza as well as regional and international efforts to end the Israeli aggression and lift the blockade on the besieged strip. They also exchanged views and consultation on moves to issue a U.N. resolution that ends the occupation and achieves the demands of the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
