HH the Emir Meets UN Chief

Doha, July 20 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani met this evening with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, at Al Bahr Palace. During the meeting, HH the Emir and the UN Chief reviewed the latest developments in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip. The UN Chief briefed HH the Emir on the organization's efforts for cease-fire in the Strip . HH the Emir noted the importance of a swift international action to stop the war crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians, in addition to the importance for the international community to shoulder its ethical and legal responsibilities to end the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and to enable the Palestinian people to live in dignity and to provide international protection for them. HH the Emir warned that the international community failure to put an end to Israeli crimes practiced daily against the Palestinians would result in serious humanitarian consequences. (QNA)
