HH the Emir Receives Phone Call from Ban Ki-moon

Doha, January 29 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Thursday received a phone call from the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, during which he thanked HH the Emir on the constructive role played by the State of Qatar to resolve the crisis in Libya by seeking to bridge the gap in views between the conflicting parties and urging them to reach a peaceful solution to achieve security, stability and unity of the Libyan people and territory. He also thanked HH the Emir for Qatar's support to the efforts of the United Nations Special Envoy to Libya. During the phone conversation, HH the Emir and the UN Chief exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. (QNA)
