HH the Qatar's Amir Exchanges Ramadan Greetings with President of Iran

Doha, May 17 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani exchanged greetings with HE President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan in a telephone conversation on Thursday. During the phone call that HH the Amir made to HE the president, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and boosting them for the good of their peoples. In this regard, HH the Amir expressed his gratitude to HE the Iranian president for Iran's stance towards the siege imposed on Qatar and its contribution to alleviate its economic impacts, particularly by opening its airspace and territorial waters. In addition, HH the Amir and HE the Iranian president discussed developments at the regional and international levels and stressed the need to resolve disputes and settle conflicts between countries through dialogue and diplomatic means in order to protect regional and international security and stability.
