HM King congratulated on endurance victory

Stockholm, Aug.12 (BNA): His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Royal Endurance Team captain His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa congratulated HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the victory achieved by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chief and Al-Khaldia Stables Captain, who ranked first in the endurance race, which was held in Sweden. "This victory is the fruit of HM the King’s support and care for sports in Bahrain, particularly the endurance races", said HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. He dedicated the victory to HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. He expressed delight at the strong comeback of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to the endurance sport through the race which was held in Sweden, which, he said, would benefit the sport of endurance in Bahrain. He extended sincerest congratulations to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who won the endurance race in Sweden after finishing first. He also congratulated the Royal Endurance Team which won the top four positions. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa won the race in Sweden, clocking 6 hours, 21 minutes and 56 seconds. Jockeys Al-Miqdad Janahi and Mohammed Al-Khateri finished second and third. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed thanks to HM the King, hailing the royal care, support and follow-up during the past period. He extended thanks to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, hailing his strenuous efforts to ensure his comeback to the field of endurance sport, paying tribute to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his support.
