HM King congratulated by HH Shaikh Nasser on prestigious award

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a cable of congratulations from HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on being awarded the Legion of Merit, Degree of Chief Commander, by US President, Donald J. Trump. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the prestigious award confirms the remarkable efforts exerted by HM the King to strengthen the solid relations and partnership between the two countries in the fields of regional security and stability, as well as to broaden cooperation between them. It also confirms the global and major role played by HM King Hamad to consolidate Bahrain’s standing as a strategic ally to the US, as well as his keenness to further enhance the decades-long relations based on mutual trust, respect and shared desire to achieve the interests of the two friendly countries across various fields, he said. HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that Bahrain, under HM the King’s leadership, will continue bolstering cooperation with the US and other brotherly and friendly countries in order to support the international efforts to promote global peace and security, in line with the deep-rooted royal approach in support of tolerance, rapprochement and peace, as the best means to safeguard regional and global stability. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that thanks to HM the King’s wise vision, Bahrain will continue strengthening cooperation and coordination with the US at all levels, particularly the military and defence ones in order to strengthen the pillars of security and stability in the region.
