HM King greeted by Russia's Grand Mufti

Moscow, May 16 (BN): The Grand Mufti of Russia, Russian Muftis’ Shura Council Chairman and President of the Religious Administration of Muslims in Russia, Shaikh Rawi Ainuddin, has extended his sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the holy month of Ramadhan, wishing HM the King abundant health, long life and prosperity. The Grand Mufti, during a meeting with Bahrain's Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, expressed his thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for his continuous support for Muslims in the Russian Federation, praising His Majesty's pioneering role in consolidating the principles of Islam, the inter-faith dialogue and dialogue among civilisations in the world, citing the recent inauguration of the King Hamad International Centre for Peaceful Coexistence. The Grand Mufti pointed out that Bahrain was one of the first countries to support Muslims in Russia through the opening of a public library in its name in Moscow, in addition to His Majesty the King's patronage of the International Competition for the Holy Quran last year, and supplying mosques with Quran books at the beginning of Ramadhan every year. In the framework of the cooperation between the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain and the Muftis’ Shura Council of the Russian Federation, the ambassador presented to the Grand Mufti Bahraini copies of the Quran to be distribution to mosques in the Islamic republics and regions on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan.
