HM King receives members of Al Nuaim tribe

Manama, Aug 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the Safriya Palace welcomed a number of members of Al Nuaim tribe and praised their key role in the national march and their history highlighted by loyalty to the homeland. He talked about the establishment of the state of Al Khalifa in Al Zubarah and their leadership of the Qatar Peninsula since 1762, noting the allegiance of the tribes of the peninsula to Al Khalifa. He added that Al Khalifa established security and prosperity until Al Zubarah became a prominent political, economic and civilizational destination in the Arabian Gulf region. "We have ties with the people of Zubara based on kinship, common history and joint goals, but we will never forget the assault of 1937, which targeted the killing and forced displacement of Zubara people, we will not forget the illegal aggression against Zubarah and Dible."
