HM the King receives UK state secretary

Manama, May 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Philp Hammond, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom. HM King Hamad welcomed the British Minister, and reviewed with him the outstanding long-standing bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. HM the King asserted that the Bahraini-British relations that span more two centuries have always been distinguished by its special nature thanks to the two friendly countries' solid cooperation, distinguished bonds and mutual understanding and coordination vis-à-vis many issues. They discussed the latest regional and global developments.
